How to find Bram Cragg

Travelling by car is the most accessible way to reach us due to our rural setting:

From the North or East - leave the M6 at J40, Penrith, taking the A66 West for Keswick. After 13 miles exit left, opposite Threlkeld village, onto the B5322 signed for Thirlmere & Threlkeld Quarry. Bram Cragg lies 2.5 miles along the B5322 on the left.

OR:

From the South (via the Lakes) - leave the M6 at J36, Kendal. Take the A591 North through Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. 1 mile after passing Thirlmere reservoir exit right onto the B5322 signed for St John's in the Vale. Bram Cragg lies 2.5 miles on your right along the B5322 after narrow left hand bend.

 

Travelling by Train - The nearest train station is 15 miles away in Penrith, with links to/from Windermere, Kendal, Carlisle and Cumbria's West coast.

Travelling by bus - Our nearest bus stop is 2.5 miles away, we also have a good local taxi service.
